Surfer Girl was an early Brain Wilson classic. When Wilson and Mackin talked about the creation of this piece, they discussed the perfect wave, a surfer girl hanging up her swim gear, kicking off her flip-flops, standing her board up and heading out for a swim. Dan Mackin feels this may be the most perfect wave that he has ever painted. When Brian saw the finished product, he remarked, “Dan, Surfer Girl knocks me out. Man, I love it.”
