Configure Thunderbird to send mail through VPOP.

If you have not sent mail through VPOP in the past please contact us first so we can enable your account to use us for SMTP

1.    Open Thunderbird and click "Tools" in the menu bar, then select "Account Settings."
                  
                  

            2.    Select your mail account and then click on Server Settings.

                  

            3.   Set the Server name to mail.vpop.net.
            4.   Set the User Name to your email address (e.g. you@yourdomain.com).
            5.   Under Server Settings check off the box for Use secure connection (SSL).
            6.   Select Outgoing Server (SMTP)
                  

            7.   Set the Server Name to mail.vpop.net and set the Port to 587.
            8.   Check off the box to Use name and password and enter your User Name as your full email address
                 (e.g. you@yourdomain.com).
            9.   Under Use secure connection select the TLS radio button.
           10.   Click OK.


Thunderbird is now set to send through VPOP using smtp auth.
